From Trees to Your Fireplace

Stage 1 — From Trees to Firewood

Our mixed hardwood arrives from local tree surgeons in varying lengths and is stored outside before being cut into manageable sizes. Once cut, the wood is moved inside our barn, where it is stored under cover and allowed to dry.

Stage 2 - Cut & Split

The wood is then cut and, where required, split into practical firewood-sized logs. Splitting increases the exposed surface area, helping moisture escape as the wood seasons and dries.

As a naturally sourced product, our logs will vary in shape, size and appearance. Our focus is on producing functional, reliable firewood that offers an economical way to heat your home, rather than perfectly uniform logs.

Once the logs have reached a moisture content of less than 15%, they're ready for the final stage.

Stage 3 - Bagged & Ready For Delivery

Once ready, the logs are loaded into 0.85m³ bulk bags and stored under cover until delivery.

Each bag contains seasoned mixed hardwood, ready for use in wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, outdoor ovens and fire pits.
